Paul Gascoigne puffs on a cigarette and poses for snaps with Jill Scott before roaring the Three Lions to a 7-0 victory over North Macedonia

Paul Gascoigne and Jill Scott joined forces on Monday as they helped the Three Lions to a 7-0 victory over North Macedonia.

The former footballers looked in good spirits as they caught up on the game at Old Trafford and walked around before taking their seats.

Gazza, 56, was seen smoking a cigarette before asking his manager to take a picture of the pair outside the stadium.

Looking effortlessly stylish for her pundit performance, Jill, 36, opted for a pair of purple flares that she paired with a periwinkle blue top.

The former Lioness added to her look with a pair of Nike sneakers and accessorized with tiny gold hoop earrings.

It was a great night for everyone as Gareth Southgate’s England humiliated North Macedonia with a ruthless brand of football that psychologically shattered their opponents by the time we hit the hour mark.

England scored their seven goals in 44 minutes in the middle section of the game and that passage either side of half-time was something to behold.

The stars of the night were many. Captain Harry Kane scored twice. Marcus Rashford was excellent on his own ground, as were Jordan Henderson and Trent Alexander-Arnold, who again played in midfield.

Jack Grealish, meanwhile, came on as a second-half substitute for a welcome befitting the country’s new favorite footballer.

But it was Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka who gave us the ‘wow’ moments.

It was Saka who scored a hat-trick and he took this game from the routine to the level of something much more memorable with three very nice goals.

Jill took to Instagram after the game and expressed her delight in working on the game as an expert.

Sharing snaps from her time at the competition, she wrote: ‘Still pinching myself that this is “work” Well done @england on a great performance!

“Had a great evening in the company of these legends.”

It follows another high point for Jill, who amassed 161 caps for the national team and appeared in no fewer than nine major tournaments in her storied career.

The queen of the jungle made history this month as the first woman to captain England in this year’s Soccer Aid for UNICEF charity match.

But despite her best efforts, Jill’s team ultimately lost for the fifth straight year as the World XI reigned victorious once again.

Usain Bolt captained his side to another success in a team also featuring footballing legends Hernan Crespo and Roberto Carlos, while England were captained by Euros winning Lioness Jill Scott.

The management teams were equally star-studded, with the England camp including Chelsea ladies boss Emma Hayes, Stormzy and Harry Redknapp, while Mauricio Pochettino teamed up with Mel C for the World XI.
