‘He’s stealing my testosterone’: Paul Burrell, 64, confirms ‘life-changing’ prostate cancer diagnosis, weeks after wading into William and Harry’s actual breakup

Paul Burrell has confirmed that he is battling prostate cancer, weeks after wading into the growing rift between Princes William and Harry.

The late Diana, a former butler to the Princess of Wales, announced the news during an appearance on Monday’s edition of Lorraine, admitting that the surprise diagnosis has strengthened her relationship with her two children.

Burrell, 64, who claimed he was Diana’s ‘rock’ following her acrimonious 1996 divorce from King Charles, has also revealed that he will undergo an operation next month to remove the affected prostate gland.

Disclosure: Paul Burrell has confirmed that he is battling cancer, weeks after wading into the growing rift between Princes William and Harry.

He explained: “I’m tired, I’m on hormone therapy, it’s stealing my testosterone so my beard isn’t growing like it should, I’m tired and I’m having hot flashes.”

“In the summer I had to go in for a medical for a TV show he was doing and his duty of care was to go in for a full medical. And that resulted in a high level of a chemical PSA produced by the prostate.

He added: “I was wrapping Christmas presents, wondering ‘Am I going to be here next Christmas? I had to tell my kids and they said, “Dad, we need to see you more.”

The second most common form of cancer in men over the age of 50, prostate cancer affects the male reproductive system by infecting the small gland responsible for producing and transporting seminal fluid.

Speaking of his decision to remove the gland, he added: “My father’s days are over. I don’t want any more children, I have two wonderful children, that’s fine.

‘But not everything ends because you lose your prostration. You can still be as good as ever in the bedroom. You can still have a good sex life, but you have to talk about it. Talk about it, don’t hide it.
