Patsy Palmer becomes the first celeb to hit the rink at the Dancing on Ice studios
Patsy Palmer took to Instagram on Wednesday when she became the first celebrity to take a track at Dancing on Ice studios in London.
The 50-year-old former EastEnders actress, who recently returned to Blighty from her Malibu home, bundled up in a puffer jacket that she teamed with a black beanie.
She was joined by fellow pro Matt Evers, 46, and revealed that the new track was ‘like glass!’

Patsy appeared in high spirits and smiled for the camera as she jumped onto the ice while American Matt made fun of her British accent.
The former soap opera star completed her look with dark leggings and kept warm with a pair of wool gloves.
Oozing confidence on the ice Patsy also unveiled a glimpse of the ITV show’s studio, which is still under construction ahead of the new series which begins next month.

She captioned the clip: “It’s like glass… I’m so honored to do this let alone be the first celebrity on the ice at the 2023 training rink.”

Patsy has also shared snaps of her return to London, including enjoying a cabin ride with her 12-year-old son Bertie after landing at Heathrow.

In October, Patsy became the first celebrity to be announced in this year’s Dancing On Ice lineup.
She told This Morning: “I can’t believe it’s the first one, this was the one I really had to think about, I wanted to challenge myself, get out of my comfort zone.”
“I’ve turned it down before because I was terrified, but when I turned 50 I made a pact to get out of my confrontation zone. This is for everyone over 50. In fact, I’m pretty scared right now.

States: Laced up a pair of white skates for rehearsals.
Patsy said she will return to the UK for the show, but will do much of her training in Malibu.
She said: ‘I’ll be back, but I’ll be training in Los Angeles, which is fantastic.
‘I’m not competitive, but this time I’m going to say let’s try to win it. I will concentrate on training and use meditation, and this will really test me.’

Speaking of his experience, he said: “The experience I’ve had with ice skating is going with my friends when we were kids, as one of the first things we were allowed to do without our parents.” We used to skate fast and crash into walls.
“It would be really cool to skate to songs that I love, but a lot of them are very upbeat and I don’t want to create a challenge for myself.”
Patsy lives in Malibu with her husband Richard Merkell and their three children, Fenton, 22, Emilia, 20, and Bertie, 10, after moving to the United States in 2014.
She is also the mother of actor Charley Palmer Rothwell, 30, her son based in the UK with ex-partner Alfie Rothwell.
