Patsy Kensit’s new fiancé Patric Cassidy has been branded a “love rat” by an ex-girlfriend who claims she was with the businessman until he proposed to the former Emmerdale star.
Julia Simons, 39, told The sun that she was dating the tycoon, 58, before being cut off around the time of the proposed proposal, and hopes his newfound crush will “see him for what he really is.”
The news comes just weeks after the shocking engagement news, which reportedly followed a five-week whirlwind romance.
‘Hope she sees him for what he really is’: Patsy Kensit’s Fiance Patric Cassidy is being branded a ‘heartless love rat’ because his ex claimed they were together ‘until he proposed to the actress’
But it could cause trouble in paradise on the honeymoon, as Julia claims there was a cross between herself and Patsy.
“It’s not fair to her or me. I had no idea he was dating Patsy too. I feel so sorry for her. I hope she sees him for what he really is: a heartless love rat,” Patric’s former partner explained.
She talked about her relationship with Patric to The Sun and recalled meeting the businessman at the Edgbaston cricket ground in Birmingham, where he had left her a note with his number on it.
“He was so charming and romantic. I thought he was an old-fashioned gentleman. He was really funny and we had a great time,” she told the publication.

Do you love rats? “It’s not fair to her or me. I had no idea he was dating Patsy too. I feel so sorry for her. I hope she sees him for what he really is – a heartless love rat,” explained Patric’s former partner Julia (pictured)
She added that in addition to eating and drinking her, Patric would also take her on shopping trips during their romance, and Julia admitted she was shocked when he ended things over text — just before his engagement to Patsy was announced.
She explains that Patric canceled a meal with her on September 6, the day he proposed to Patsy, before breaking off via text two days later.
Julia, who would blame their 19-year age difference, recalled: “He had never talked about our age difference before. I think that was all he could think of to say.”
Add: ‘I was so shocked when I saw the story. I messaged Patric, but he just ghosted me.’
Crush: Patsy is believed to have been ‘smitten’ with new man Patric, with the pair reportedly meeting through mutual friends and having a ‘whirlwind’ romance
MailOnline has reached out to representatives of enemy Patsy Kensit for comment.
Patsy’s “whirlwind” engagement to Patric, whom she became acquainted with through mutual friends, was announced in early September, when a friend told The Sun they were “beaten.”
“Both Patsy and Patrick have been beaten, and it just feels really good. He posed the question Tuesday at Scott’s in London.
“And after she celebrated, they took over the bar at the nearby Connaught hotel and bought the whole room Cristal champagne.
