Patsy Kensit remembers the most ‘erotic’ experience of her life with David Bowie when she was 16 years old.

In a new interview with The timesThe actress and singer, 56, revealed an intimate encounter she had with the late singer while filming Absolute Beginners in 1986.

She told the publication: ‘Bowie was just beautiful. Heaven. I was 16 and I think he was 30 [he was actually 39]. He was so sweet to everyone and I was totally impressed.

‘I was also deceived because I imagined he would fall in love with me and we would run away. And of course [when we met] I sat in a line of people where he just shook my hand and then walked down the line, and I was crushed.

She added: ‘But one day I was in make-up and he stuck his head in the door and said hello. He came over to me, grabbed a brush and just started brushing my hair. He didn’t say anything, he just brushed it off and then walked away. It was the most erotic experience of my life.’

Elsewhere during the very candid conversation, Patsy admitted: ‘My favorite thing to do is a good hardware store. It really makes me horny. For me it’s like sex, to go inside and discover everything we never had growing up.’

Patsy also confirmed during the interview that she is still engaged to real estate mogul Patric Cassidy.

The actress, who first tied the knot in 1988 when she was 22 and has been married four times, recently rekindled her romance with Patric.

Patsy reportedly got back together with Patric last November, four months after an acrimonious split.

The actress announced her whirlwind engagement to Patric, 56, last year, but the couple split in July. But Patsy has now confirmed they are back on and still engaged.

When asked if she was wearing an engagement ring, she confirmed that she was.

Patsy, who first married in 1988 when she was 22, is divorced from Dan Donovan, of 80s pop group Big Audio Dynamite, Simple Minds frontman Jim Kerr, Liam Gallagher and most recently 90s DJ Jeremy Healy .

Businessman Patric is said to have popped the question within weeks of their first date, but Patsy was said to be left ‘visibly distressed’ at a charity event in June when Patric snatched her diamond engagement ring from her hand during an argument.

Just weeks later, a spokesperson for Patsy told The Sun on Sunday: ‘I can confirm they have split and would appreciate her privacy in relation to the matter. She’s very busy working at the moment.’

The actress got engaged to Patric in September 2022, but then decided to cool things down and focus on work - before they got back together.

An insider added to the publication: ‘The whirlwind romance has come to a standstill and the couple have decided to go their separate ways.

‘They love each other very much, but ultimately she knew they wouldn’t be able to make it work in the long run, so she felt it was best not to move forward with their relationship.

‘Patsy currently has many exciting work opportunities and is throwing herself into her career.’

Shortly after her divorce, Patsy opened up about finding love in her 50s, describing it as “very difficult.”

She told The Mirror that ‘relationships are different at this age’ and that it was important to be ‘hopeful and grateful’.

Patsy told the publication that it is difficult to meet people, unlike in her younger days, as she is now often in bed by 9 p.m.

The former Holby City star said she turned down her co-stars’ invitations for drinks during a recent taping of Death in Paradise in the Caribbean because she was ready to hit the hay.

‘At the end they didn’t bother to ask me anymore. The thought of going to a bar or looking for love…but these things happen when you least expect it. I’ve set up a blind date, so here you go. I use the word company.’

Adding, “I’m not ruling out the intimacy side of things, but relationships are different at this age and it’s fine and okay. You have to be hopeful and grateful.”

Last November it was reported that they had rekindled romance.

A source revealed: ‘Patsy loves being in a relationship and there are lots of things she likes about Patric so she has been quietly seeing him again to see if they can make it work.

‘Patric is very extravagant and likes to take Patsy out for dinner and shower her with gifts, and has promised to treat her like a princess. They decided they had too much to lose not to give their romance another try.”
