Patriots cornerback JC Jackson missed his team's loss to the Chiefs on Sunday due to mental health issues, his agent has revealed ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Jackson was active for the game and was on the sidelines at Gillette Stadium.
But the defensive back didn't record a snap in the 27-17 loss.
After the game, New England head coach Bill Belichick told reporters, “He wasn't available. Leave it at that.'
Jackson had appeared in eight Patriots games this season as of Sunday.

He started the season with the Chargers before being traded to New England along with a 2025 seventh-round pick in exchange for a 2025 sixth-round pick.
Jackson began his career with the Patriots in 2018 after going undrafted and was named a Pro Bowler in 2021.
With the 28-year-old out of the lineup, the Patriots allowed 326 total yards of offense.
Patrick Mahomes threw for 305 yards and two touchdowns (and two interceptions), while Travis Kelce finished with just five catches for 28 yards.
