Patriots fan who was abused by woman in viral video after wild Las Vegas win is personally invited by billionaire owner Robert Kraft to watch the New England game this weekend
New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft is known for his generosity and continued the trend after inviting a cool-headed fan to Gillette Stadium on Saturday.
Jerry Edmond was in his first NFL game last week when the Vegas Raiders surprisingly won 30-24 on the game’s last play thanks to a lateral gone awry.
As if the loss wasn’t painful enough, a viral video surfaced this week showing a woman verbally abusing Edmond as Raiders players and fans celebrated.
The woman, who was wearing a Derek Carr T-shirt, repeatedly lunged into Edmond’s personal space, who remained stoic amid a torrent of abuse.
Known for his generosity, Robert Kraft reached out once again to help a Patriots fan.
A digital search was conducted to identify the Patriots fan in question. Two hours after the post went live on Tuesday, Edmond commented and confirmed that he was the victim seen in the viral video.
“I’d like to thank everyone for all the kind words,” Edmond began.

Jerry Edmond, the fan in question, responded to a post about the abuse and confirmed that it was indeed him.
“I didn’t want to ruin my experience by retaliating against that woman, so I kept my cool.”
Since then, several people have reached out with praise and offers of tickets to the game and other measures, including Kraft, who called Edmond personally on Wednesday: according to the Patriots website.
It offered Edmond the chance to attend the game against Cincinnati and enjoy the experience with pre-game field passes, a custom jersey and, of course, a setting better suited to watching this week’s New England game.
No matter the view, last Sunday’s stunning loss to Las Vegas was painful for all of New England.
