Patrick Mahomes became irate at a referee on Sunday night after an offensive offsides play negated a late touchdown for the Chiefs against the Bills.
Mahomes found Travis Kelce over the middle of the field, and the tight end lateraled the ball to Kadarius Toney, who ran into the end zone to give the hosts the lead.
But Toney had lined up in the neutral zone before the game, pulled a flag and cleared the score.
Mahomes' final attempt to keep the Chiefs' drive alive failed moments later and the quarterback was absolutely furious on the sideline.
He slammed down his helmet and appeared to shout at a referee: “We've played our damnedest and you're calling offensive offside!”

“That's fucking awful!” he also said.
He had to be held back by his teammates during the tense moment.
Mahomes said afterward, “It's hard to swallow. Not just for me, and for football in general, to take away such greatness, for a guy like Travis to make a play like that, you want to see the guys on the field decide the game. T
'They are human. They make mistakes. But every week we talk about something… It's the call. Right at that moment. Not for myself. If you want to have a flag, it changes the outcome of the game. Another match, we're talking about the referees. That's not what we want for the NFL. That's not what we want in football.'
Fans felt that Mahomes' disdain should have been directed at Toney instead of the officials, who correctly determined the receiver was offside.
“Mahomes throws a nut, but he'll see in the film that Toney was offside,” someone wrote on X.

“Atypical for Patrick Mahomes to be so openly angry,” ESPN's Ed Werder said. 'Perhaps this reflects his general frustration even as he shouts at the crew on duty.
