Bond documents have confirmed that Mahomes Sr can travel to Las Vegas to watch the Chiefs this weekend, but he will have to stay sober and not drink booze while partying in the VIP box.

He’s usually flanked by his glamorous daughter-in-law, Brittany Mahomes, and Travis Kelce’s pop star girlfriend Taylor Swift during the Chiefs’ nail-biting games.

Mahomes Sr. was arrested during a traffic stop on Saturday evening at 8:30 p.m.

An officer observed his white Genesis traveling too slowly as he headed west in the 1100 block of W. Gentry. Police checked his registration, which had expired in September 2022.

They pulled him over and the officer saw Mahomes Sr. had an open 16oz Coors can in his center console.

He said he had a few beers while watching the game at a local bar. Mahomes Sr. performed field sobriety tests but failed.

He was subsequently arrested and booked into jail for the DWI.

The father of the millionaire Chiefs quarterback got his prison sentence paid for by Ace Bail Bonds — a third-party bond service that people in counties across Texas can use.
