Patrick Mahomes has revealed that Taylor Swift is head over heels for the Kansas City Chiefs because of her romance with Travis Kelce.
The pop star enjoyed a summer of success after bringing her wildly popular Eras Tour to Europe.
But in between the countless sold-out concerts, the singer still finds time for football.
After attending multiple Chiefs games in the front row while dating a three-time Super Bowl winner, it appears Swift has learned a thing or two about the football field.
Mahomes, the Chiefs quarterback and a close friend of Kelce, said Swift has impressed him so much with her football knowledge that Kansas City may be digging into Taylor Swift’s playbook.

“She’s really into football,” he said of the singer in an interview with NFL on NBC. “She asks a lot of questions. She’s already thinking of plays, so maybe we should put one in.”
The ‘Anti-Hero’ hitmaker has already made a positive impact on the reigning Super Bowl champions and the NFL.
The 14-time Grammy Award winner attended 13 games last season to support her NFL boyfriend during the Chiefs’ trip to Las Vegas. She was seated next to Mahomes’ wife Brittany, who quickly became a close friend.
And with Swift came a new demographic of football fans. A reported 5 million more female viewers tuned in to watch Kelce and the Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers in this year’s big game.
The Chiefs also saw a 34 percent increase in their fanbase, adding 2.9 million followers across Instagram, TikTok, X and Threads for the team’s accounts from Sept. 7 to Feb. 14. It’s the largest increase for an NFL franchise during that time period, with more than 1.2 million followers.
“I love seeing the girls and women who really embrace football,” Mahomes said of the Swift Effect.
“As a father of a girl, I know how wonderful it is for me to see these little girls and daughters spending time with their dad and watching football.”
The Mahomes family has also become close to Swift through her relationship with Kelce, with their children reportedly even nicknamed after the pop icon.

“When I met Taylor and realized how genuine and cool she is, it was special to me because she’s the most famous person in the world,” the quarterback added.
The striking pairing of Kelce and Swift have been in touch with the Mahomes family several times since their romance broke news in early 2023.
The two couples have been on quite a few dates together, including New Year’s Eve and a recent trip to Amsterdam, where Swift performed.
The Mahomeses were recently invited to Swift’s star-studded party at her $17 million beach house in Rhode Island.
