Randi Mahomes, Patrick’s mother, shared a touching photo from a hospital as she watched her son’s Kansas City Chiefs with her ailing father Randy.
“Watching a game with dad today,” Randi, 48, wrote on X. “Prayers for my dad please.”
The photo shared by Randi shows her daughter Mia sitting next to a hospital bed, where Patrick’s grandfather, Randy, lies facing the television. The screen appears to show Sunday’s Chiefs-Chargers game from Los Angeles, which Kansas City won 17-10 before improving to 4-0.
The specific health problem has not been disclosed, but Randi did reveal earlier this month that her father was unwell.
“Prayer warriors, please pray for my father,” she wrote on September 13. “He’s in the hospital and not feeling well.”

There has been a flood of expressions of support online. Many counselors told Randi that they were indeed praying for her father.
Like teammate Travis Kelce’s mother, Donna, Randi has also become a celebrity as her son has won three Super Bowls in five seasons.
Speaking to PEOPLE, Randi revealed that Kelce gave her the endearing nickname “Mama Mahomes” and uses it every time they meet. Additionally, she talked about the family atmosphere at Arrowhead Stadium and the sense of community among Patrick and his teammates.
“It almost feels like a little family, you know. I love that,” Randi told the publication. “I enjoy meeting Chiefs players because you can’t always meet them all.”
Randi has admitted that he sometimes gets overwhelmed by fame.

Randi opened up about her struggles with fame during a July appearance on “The Mom Game” podcast, where she admitted that she was jealous of friends who are not related to Patrick Jr., the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, and not too forgetting his brother Jackson, a well-known social media influencer.
“I look at some of my friends on social media and I’m jealous that they have this as a normal thing [life]she said. “Their children are the same age as Patrick (28) and Jackson (24), and they have this normal situation and we don’t. It’s super hard.
“We just want to be normal and have dinner,” she continued. ‘We don’t do that.’
The problem with her son’s fame persists even when she works as an event planner – something she has done for twenty years.
“It’s very difficult at work because 90 percent of my calls are not about work,” she said. ‘I still go to work and want to live normally.’

Of course, living normally is a bit of a pipe dream when your eldest son gets a $480 million NFL contract.
But while Randi admits she’s lucky, she feels overwhelmed by the problems her family’s fame can bring.
“As much as I say we are blessed and Patrick is living his dream, it has been the hardest seven years of my adult life,” Randi explained. “It’s been really hard to juggle… being proud of him and the hate you and the kids get. I can’t even explain how hard it has been. I cried a lot. I’m having trouble with it.’
Much of that battle came after Jackson was charged with felonious assault and three counts of aggravated sexual battery. The misdemeanor charge was later dropped by the judge, citing a lack of cooperation from the alleged victim.
As Randi put it, Jackson “had the ringer,” but “the truth came out.”
Brandi is not only grandmother to Patrick’s two children, but also mother to 12-year-old daughter Mia.
She gave birth to Patrick Jr. when she was 20 and Patrick Sr. pitched for the Minnesota Twins.
In fact, Patrick Jr.’s godfather is former Twins reliever LaTroy Hawkins.
Randi admits that Patrick Jr. “is living his dream,” but she can’t help but think her other two children aren’t so lucky.
But if there’s a good side to her son’s fortune and fame, it’s that Randi no longer has to worry about finances.
“They don’t even need me for money to take them out to dinner,” she said of her children. “They’re taking me out to dinner.”
