Patrick Mahomes labeled Skip Bayless a “spoiled BRAT” after Chiefs QB's meltdown over referee's correct offside call on Kadarius Toney: “It was 'don't you know who we are' behavior”

Skip Bayless has accused Patrick Mahomes of acting like a “spoiled brat” after the Chiefs were denied a potential game-winning touchdown against the Bills on Sunday night.

The red mist descended on Mahomes when an offside decision is refused Kansas City scored a final touchdown against Buffalo that would have put them ahead at 23-20 with just over a minute to play.

Chiefs wideout Kadarius Toney was deemed to have lined up in the neutral zone before ultimately taking a pass from Travis Kelce and running for the touchdown, meaning what looked like the winning moment was erased due to an offensive offside.

Despite photos showing Toney clearly offside, Mahomes slammed his helmet into the ground as their ensuing drive fell incomplete, before attacking the officials for making a “terrible” call.

But according to Bayless of FOX Sports, his anger came from a sense of entitlement as the reigning NFL MVP and star player of the Super Bowl champions.

“After Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes has become the face of this league,” he continued Undisputed. “He's done a lot of great things. He is an all-time great player. He was also a great player off the field; role model, wise, how he behaves, handles himself – until that moment at the end of that game.

“I was shocked at the way he lost because crazy, at first I thought he had a fit because Toney was offside. I thought he was just freaking out about how dare this kid do this to us and ruin this game for us because we're faltering, we're faltering.

'But no, it was all against the referees. And to me that was spoiled brat behavior.

“You're so caught up in, 'You don't know who we are? We're the defending champions. I've won two of them, I've played in three of them. How dare you referees do this?' me in my house, and Travis Kelce in his house.”

Bayless also felt that Mahomes' upset was due to the heroics Kelce produced in finding Toney for the touchdown, admitting that it would have gone down as an all-time great play.

“I really think it broke Patrick's heart that Kelce made a play that was all-time. It was all time,” he continued.

“It was a small backyard because I don't think they mentioned it during the huddle, I could be wrong. But they say he'll do that regularly in practice, and he threw a strike from about 15 yards out to, ironically, Toney, who is out of the play and then suddenly comes loose at the end.

'It was a beautiful piece and it would have been the talk of the world today. We would have talked about it like it was the game of the year because we might have won the game.”

Chiefs coach Andy Reid jumped to his quarterback's defense after the game, insisting the late offside was “embarrassing” for the NFL.

However, Bayless believes he had no choice but to support Mahomes after his on-court outburst.

He concluded, “I thought Andy had no choice after the game but to defend his quarterback by saying it's embarrassing for the National Football League, because I think deep down Andy knew it wasn't embarrassing.”

“They just called the rule by the rule.”
