Patrick Mahomes issues ominous warning to Raiders rivals who mocked Chiefs star with Kermit the Frog doll

Patrick Mahomes issued an ominous warning to the Las Vegas Raiders on Friday after they mocked the quarterback with a Kermit the Frog doll.

On Thursday, a Raiders fan gave Trey Taylor a Kermit the Frog doll during training camp, after which the defenseman carried the Muppets character around.

The Kermit doll wore Mahomes’ jersey and even had a head full of brown curls, resembling the star quarterback’s hair.

In a clip that went viral, Taylor held the doll up to the camera, moved his mouth and said in a high-pitched voice, “I’m Patrick.”

The three-time Super Bowl winner’s voice has long been compared to that of the iconic TV character, who speaks with a gravelly tone.

Mahomes was asked about the video after the Chiefs practice on Friday and remained secretive about it, but he did warn the players.

He said, “It will be addressed when it is addressed.”

Because they are a division rival, the Chiefs will play the Raiders twice next season: on October 27 and November 29.

Before Mahomes publicly responded to the criticism, his personal trainer, Bobby Stroupe, shared a menacing three-word response to X.

“We will remember,” he tweeted.

The 28-year-old has been asked to make comparisons to Kermit throughout his career, even being asked to do an impersonation for the Super Bowl in February.

“I’m just talking right now, that’s all,” Mahomes said at a news conference.

He previously told reporters that he had been “mocked” all his life.

“I’ve gotten used to it, it’s like a joke that keeps going on. I’ve heard it all, jokes about Kermit the Frog or about smoking cigarettes,” he said.

“It’s unique, so maybe I’ll get a deal because I have such a unique voice.”
