Patrick Mahomes hilariously taunts ex-Chiefs teammate in the stands at Royals-Yankees showdown

Patrick Mahomes was in action on Wednesday night as the Royals hosted the Yankees in the ALDS.

The quarterback attended the game with his brother Jackson and also watched the game with former Chiefs teammate and Yankees fan Gehrig Dieter, who was decked out in Bronx Bombers gear.

But Mahomes gleefully got in his former teammate’s face as the Royals tied the game at 2-2 in the fifth inning.

The passerby gave Dieter a friendly nudge and shouted in his face.

Dieter, meanwhile, pretended to be in line before Mahomes walked in the other direction.

Mahomes, whose father Patrick Sr. was an MLB pitcher, is part owner of the Royals.

Dieter, meanwhile, is named after Yankees legend Lou Gehrig.

The 2017 undrafted free agent spent four years with the Chiefs through 2021.

After the Royals gave Mahomes a chance to mock his friend, the Yankees responded in the eighth inning when Giancarlo Stanton hit a go-ahead home run to give New York a 3-2 lead.

The Yankees held onto that slim advantage and Dieter ended up having the last laugh over Mahomes.

Game 4 – which the Royals must win to stay alive – is tomorrow night.
