Patrick Mahomes: Chiefs QB’s son Bronze has ‘very scary and frantic’ trip to hospital as wife reveals baby is ‘highly, highly allergic to peanuts’

Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, were shocked this week to discover that their nine-month-old son is “very, very allergic to peanuts.”

Brittany shared a photo to her Instagram story on Thursday of Bronze, her second child with the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, after rushing him to the hospital earlier this week.

The Kansas City Current co-owner suggested that Bronze had had an allergic reaction after being unaware of his peanut intolerance, leading to a “very scary and hectic” trip to the hospital.

“My perfect boy,” she wrote to her 1.3 million followers on the platform. “We had a very frightening and hectic trip to the ER yesterday after discovering that this man is highly allergic to peanuts.

While she didn’t go into further detail, Bronze appears to have recovered from the allergic reaction after Brittany shared another photo of him sleeping in her arms later that night.

“Another tooth is coming in, so he needed some extra cuddles tonight,” she said.

Brittany and the Chiefs superstar, who have been dating since their high school days, welcomed Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III last November.

Their first child, two-year-old daughter Sterling Skye, was born in February 2021.

After inspiring the Chiefs to victory in last season’s Super Bowl, Mahomes and his family headed to Disneyland in California to celebrate.

“Welcome to the happiest place on earth, Bronze and Sterling!” Patrick and Brittany said in a joint Instagram post.

The Mahomes family also appears in the Netflix docu-series ‘Quarterback’, where the QB talks about his relationship with Brittany.

“We kind of met in seventh, eighth grade,” he said. “She was the class above me, I was kind of the best friend, forever in the friend zone.

“I used to walk her to class and try to flirt. When I was a sophomore in high school, she was a junior.

‘I even gave her a rose. I was a little in love with her. But I got a rose for Valentine’s Day as a joke.’

Mahomes is currently gearing up for the 2023 NFL season with the Chiefs, which will play its penultimate preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals on Friday.
