Patrick Mahomes breaks his silence after his and Travis Kelce’s mansions were burglarized

Patrick Mahomes has expressed his frustrations over the burglaries that occurred last month at his home and the mansion of teammate and close friend Travis Kelce.

Mahomes’ home in the Kansas City area was hit by thieves around midnight on Oct. 6, while Kelce’s home was targeted about 48 hours later.

The Chiefs quarterback could not speak on details regarding the incidents as they are under investigation. He was not concerned with the situation in general.

‘It’s obviously frustrating. It’s disappointing,” Mahomes said Wednesday, speaking publicly about the issue for the first time. “Obviously something happens that you don’t really want to happen to anyone. But of course yourself.’

It is unclear whether anyone was home at the time of the burglary. It is also unknown what was taken from Mahomes’ home.

Local police have said $20,000 in cash was missing from Kelce’s home after it was burglarized.

Mahomes and Kelce both live in the suburbs of Kansas City, both about a half hour from Arrowhead Stadium.

No official charges have yet been filed in the incidents. However, Mahomes said he expects details of the burglaries to be released sometime in the future.

Kelce has yet to speak publicly about the situation, but should be made available to the media by the Chiefs sometime next week.

There’s more to come.
