Patrick Mahomes has revealed that he has reached out to Josh Allen to make amends following his angry post-game exchange with the Buffalo Bills quarterback on Sunday.
Mahomes was left seething when a late offside play denied the Kansas City Chiefs a potential game-winning touchdown against Buffalo, with Kadarius Toney deemed to be on the wrong side of the line of scrimmage before the ball was snapped.
Despite replays confirming the call was correct, the Chiefs' star quarterback let the red mist descend on Arrowhead and slammed his helmet down in anger before teammates had to restrain him on the sideline.
After the game, he then made his frustrations known when he hugged fellow quarterback Allen, groaning while shaking his head in disgust, “Wildest damn call I ever saw.” Bloody awful.”
Mahomes has since held his hands up and admitted that his actions on Sunday were outrageous, insisting he will accept any punishment that comes his way.

The Kansas City quarterback admits he should have shown “better sportsmanship.”
And on Wednesday, he also admitted during a press conference that the tirade he subjected Allen to was unsportsmanlike.
“(It was) definitely emotion when I spoke to Josh in midfield. Just (by) losing the football game, a tough football game in a tough way,” Mahomes said.
'But I let it go on too long because he had nothing to do with it. So (I should) just show more sportsmanship, tell him to play great and keep it moving.”
Mahomes was then asked if he has spoken to Allen since his post-game rant.
“Yeah dude. “I talk to Josh a lot, so we're all doing well,” he revealed.
“But I'll keep those conversations to ourselves.”
Mahomes was ultimately left red-faced after his animated protests when it turned out that the officials' call to flag for offensive offside on Toney was correct.
The Chiefs wideout was in the neutral zone before the ball was snapped, meaning a beautiful play by Travis Kelce that set him free for the touchdown counted for nothing.

Although that offside call cost Kansas City the win, Mahomes sent a message to Toney, urging him to stay positive after his mistake on Sunday.
'Just be yourself man. . . . If you make one mistake, it won't define you. It will determine how you respond to that mistake,” he said of Toney.
The quarterback added that “all the receivers know I believe in them.”
