Meghan Markle’s former Suits costar Patrick J. Adams has apologized for sharing a series of never-before-seen photos of the Duchess on set. He claims these were a ‘distraction’ from the actors’ strike and called it an ’embarrassing mistake’.

Patrick, who played Meghan’s love interest on the US legal drama from 2011 until her departure in 2017, sent fans into a frenzy earlier this week when he posted a number of intimate photos of Meghan from when they shot the series together.

Now the actor, 42, has claimed that the reason he removed them was because he felt it was inappropriate amid SAG-AFTRA’s battle with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers.

He apologized for “foolishly and thoughtlessly” taking a “trip down memory lane” during the “ongoing battle.”

Patrick shared a carousel of behind-the-scenes images of Meghan and other Suits stars on Tuesday, captioning it: “I miss my friends.”

One was a black-and-white portrait of Meghan turning and looking at the camera with her hand to her lips.

Another showed Prince Harry’s wife lying on the floor with her bare feet on a cupboard next to her co-star Sarah Rafferty.

The next day, he shared more in another post, writing, “This well is deep.”

One showed Meghan lounging on a plush couch, and the other saw her playfully sheltering under an umbrella.

Another shot showed the former actress standing on set in a pencil skirt and white blouse as she stared at the ground and held a script in her hand.

If people were upset that he shared the photos during the strike, it wasn’t immediately apparent in the comments section.

In fact, many Instagram users were captivated by the behind-the-scenes look at the making of the show and the brand new photos of the royal family.

Some even speculated that his posts were an indication that the hit series would make a comeback.
