Pat McAfee hilariously announced that he had strained his hip flexor and would miss his team’s first Round of 32 game at the football tournament in Cary, North Carolina.
The injury occurred after he skied a free-kick attempt against JJ Watt’s Burnley team in the $1 million 7-a-side competition on Thursday evening.
On Friday, hours before the 9 p.m. game, McAfee announced his absence the way reporters tweeted breaking news.

The source would go on to say: ‘Pat couldn’t get up from the toilet this morning without some rather excruciating pain,’ he continued. “He also had a really bad limp this morning when he went to brunch with the boys.”
