Pat Cummins and wife Becky reveal some STUNNING family news in heartwarming announcement

Pat Cummins and his wife Becky have announced that they are expecting another child, almost three years after the birth of their son Albie.

The Australian Test cricket captain and his partner announced the news on Instagram on Wednesday, writing: ‘Incredibly happy to finally have our [baby emoji] news!

“We’re so excited to meet you, sweetheart, and to add a little more craziness to our lives.”

The post was accompanied by photos of Becky showing off her baby bump, along with Albie. In one of the photos, she is seen holding Albie and placing his hand on her stomach.

Cummins’ teammate Mitch Marsh was among the first to congratulate the couple on the heartwarming announcement, as were cricketer Travis Head’s wife Jessica, Aaron Finch’s wife Amy, Usman Khawaja’s wife Rachel and Becky’s sister Kara.

When Albie was born in October 2021, Pat and Becky released a touching video documenting their journey to becoming parents for the first time.

The video began with Becky telling an overjoyed Pat that she was pregnant, before documenting her growing baby bump, scans and eventual arrival at the hospital to give birth.

Becky announced she was expecting Albie in an Instagram post in April of that year, sharing a photo of herself holding her growing baby bump.

“I can’t hide this happiness any longer!! Baby Boston Cummins is coming to us in the spring. We are SO excited to meet you!!!” she captioned the post.

The couple were supposed to get married in April 2021, but had to postpone the wedding due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“Today would have been our wedding anniversary,” Becky wrote on Instagram on April 1, tagging Pat in the post.

‘Instead I realized I’ve never been happier, I’ve never loved you this much or appreciated you this much. Here’s to the future and a happy ending.’

They married in July 2022 at the luxurious Chateau Du Soleil in the Byron Bay area of northern New South Wales. Albie, then nine months old, was held by a wedding guest standing nearby as the couple exchanged vows.

The wedding was a star-studded affair, including comedian Andy Lee and his girlfriend Bec Harding.

Also in attendance were fellow cricketers Mitchell Starc, Andrew McDonald, Josh Hazlewood, Nathan Lyon and his wife Emma McCarth and Tim Paine and his wife Bonnie.

Pat is currently taking a break from the game to ensure he is well rested for the upcoming Australian summer of cricket, which sees the team take on India in a highly anticipated Test series.

The two-month holiday he has been given by Cricket Australia is his first real break from the sport in almost two years.

Instead of joining Australia’s white-ball tour of England and Scotland next month, he will prepare for the India series by bowling one-dayers against Pakistan in November.

“The priority now is to train in the gym and decide again in a few weeks how to proceed,” he said.

“I’m just trying to fill the bucket again after two years of non-stop bowling. (I hope) I can play that first Test in as good a position as I have in a few years.”

Cummins also said his decision to play in the Indian Premier League and Major League Cricket in the US was not a matter of club versus country.

“This has been an interesting year because the period up to the summer was always planned,” he added.

‘MLC came on the scene late and when we went through the schedule, the preparation for the summer was not changed.’
