Passengers on American Airlines flight restrain man who was allegedly violent with female companion

Passengers on board an American Airlines flight were seen restraining a man in first class who was allegedly violent towards his female traveling companion.

Video shared online shows several men bending over a man who sat in the front row of Wednesday’s flight from Miami, Florida to Charlotte, North Carolina.

One of them sternly tells the passenger to take his hands off the woman sitting next to him, while a female flight attendant tries to mediate.

“Don’t fucking touch her,” a man could be heard shouting in the passenger’s face, before apparently giving an inaudible apology.

“I don’t care,” the man replies as the passenger claims he took his hands off the woman. “Look at me, you’re fucking damned, you’re not touching her.”

At that point, a second man warns that the apparently handy passenger would be arrested if he touched the woman again.

“Get your damn hands off her right now,” he said. “If you touch her again, you’re going to get fucking arrested, you son of a bitch.”

The first man could then be seen asking the woman if she is okay, before the passengers tell her to move to another empty seat – away from her traveling companion.

As she walked down the aisle, the alleged aggressor shouted that he was the one attacked by the woman – which she vehemently denied.

“No, you weren’t attacked,” the woman shot back. “I put my hand over your mouth to shut you up.”

But the man stood his ground and shouted, “You hit me!”

At that point, many of the passengers who intervened reseated themselves, except for one man – who stood in the aisle among the other passengers.

The flight ultimately landed at Charlotte Douglas International Airport 26 minutes early, Epoch Times reporter Arjun Singh said, but the passengers were not allowed to disembark when Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers entered the cabin.

A second video shows an officer speaking to the female flight attendant who originally tried to intervene. She pointed to where the arguing passengers were sitting.

The officer could then be seen asking the passengers who were restraining the man what had happened, and eventually escorted the pair off the plane, American Airlines officials said. told the New York Post.

A Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer responded to the scene as the plane landed at Charlotte Douglas International Airport

“Two customers traveling together were involved in an altercation aboard American Airlines Flight 310 flying from Miami to Charlotte on October 2,” a spokesperson said. “Local police responded and escorted the customers from the CLT airport.

“We will not tolerate violence and we thank our team members for their professionalism in handling a difficult situation.”

It is unclear if the passenger has been arrested for any wrongdoing.
