Passengers on a Virgin flight are shocked to see ‘humble’ superstar Ed Sheeran flying in a commercial on his sold-out Australian tour
Ed Sheeran left fans shocked and amazed on Monday when he was spotted taking a commercial Virgin flight from Ballina to Sydney.
The 32-year-old singer, who is in Australia for his Maths Tour, was seen keeping a low profile as he took the flight ahead of his Sydney performances this weekend at the Accor Stadium.
Some fans commented below a social media post that the Shape of You singer was a ‘legend’ for taking the flight, rather than a private jet like many celebrities.
“He’s a down to earth guy,” one fan commented under one post.
The good thing is that he took a commercial flight and not a private jet. Pretty humble,’ said another.

“I think we need to normalize this and accept celebrities using commercial flights like we do. This way we can help our environment,” said another.
‘Can’t the man get on a plane without being published, dammit?’ quipped another.

On Sunday, he was seen enjoying a relaxing sun-soaked beach day with his wife Cherry Seaborn, 30, and their two children, Lyra Antarctica, two, and Jupiter, nine months, in Byron Bay.
Ed kept it casual in bright blue swim shorts and a long-sleeved green waterproof vest, which he wore for a quick dip in the ocean to cool off.
In November 2021, Ed revealed that having his daughter Lyra Antarctica was a “blessing” and a “miracle” after struggling to conceive with his wife Cherry.

The singer recounted how the couple had booked medical appointments to check that everything was okay after “trying to have a child for a while”.
They then welcomed their first child last August, after conceiving naturally during a vacation in Antarctica in 2019, inspiring the unusual name.
She told US radio’s The Breakfast Club: “For a while we had been trying to have a child, and we started going to the doctors and finding out what was wrong.” I thought it was a miracle, so I thought, we should have this in the name.
Ed and Cherry are childhood sweethearts, having grown up together in the same town.
They rekindled their romance in 2014 and tied the knot in a small ceremony five years later.
