A plane carrying dozens of passengers crashed in the Brazilian state of São Paulo on Friday, local media reported.
Brazil’s TV GloboNews reports that there were 62 people on board the Voepass flight.
The local fire brigade confirmed that the plane crashed in the town of Vinhedo, but gave no further details.

“VOEPASS has activated all resources to support those involved,” the airline said in a statement. “There is still no confirmation of how the accident happened or the current situation of the people on board.”

No local airline immediately reported the loss of one of their aircraft.
According to the National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac), the plane was a 68-seat ATR-72-500 turboprop.
It is produced by the French company ATR, one of the largest aircraft manufacturers in the world.
The jet can reach a maximum altitude of 10,000 feet with a maximum speed of 510 km/h.
