The death follows another tragedy earlier this year that also occurred on Mystery Island.
In May, a passenger on Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Splendor ship died while swimming.
The company said in a statement at the time that “Carnival Cruise Line is deeply saddened by the death of a guest on Mystery Island following what appears to be a medical situation while swimming.”
A passenger on the ship told 7NEWS that the passenger died while snorkeling.
