Partygoers at bush rave are assaulted and robbed by a gang of thugs in the forest

A group of men are on the run from police after attacking and robbing partygoers at a rave in the bush.

The intruders, all dressed in black and driving a silver van, stormed the event near Sutton Road in Kowen Forest, about 30 kilometers east of Canberra, about 2.45am on Sunday.

The men, who appear to be Pacific Islanders, demanded “cash and valuables” from partygoers.

They then fled in the same van before police arrived on the scene.

ACT police identified “several victims of robbery and assault”, including two partygoers who were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Anyone who saw a silver van in the area around the time of the incident or who has any other information is asked to contact police.
