A multi-vehicle accident has resulted in traffic chaos on a main road in Sydney after a multi-vehicle car flipped over on Monday.

The accident happened on Parramatta Road in the inner-western suburb of Annandale, just before Bridge Road.

All eastbound lanes – towards the city – have been closed on Parramatta Road and motorists have been told to expect delays.

Traffic will be diverted via Johnston Street and Booth Street.

“Motorists are advised to exercise caution, allow additional travel time and follow directions from crews in the area,” Live Traffic told NSW 9News.
