Chaotic scenes have erupted in Parliament House in Canberra with a climate activist glued to an artwork about the suffragettes.
Photos emerged Friday of a woman strapped to the artwork in the main building, around 11:30 a.m., as police scrambled to free her.
Meanwhile, a team of federal police officers was seen escorting an elderly man out of the building who was also reportedly involved in the stunt.

The protester is calling on the Australian government to end subsidies to fossil fuel companies.
Protesters have targeted artwork in major galleries around the world to send a message about climate change.
In early October, Extinction Rebellion activists glued their hands to a prized Picasso painting in the National Gallery of Victoria.
The painting was not damaged as it was protected by perspex.
