Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly offered Kylian Mbappe a new contract worth as much as €100 million per year to convince him to turn down Real Madrid’s advances.

The French superstar is officially free to negotiate with foreign clubs from January 1 as he enters the final six months of his PSG deal.

Reports in France earlier this month suggested that Mbappe had agreed to a move to Real next season, just over 18 months after turning down a move to LaLiga and wanting to stay at the Parc des Princes.

But according to AfterFoot RMCPSG are ready to make the 25-year-old one of the highest-paid athletes in the world so he can entrust his future to the club.

The French newspaper claims that the Ligue 1 champions have put on the table an exorbitant deal of £86 million per year, which equates to around £1.8 million per week.

Speaking at After Foot RMC on Monday evening, French journalist Daniel Riolo described the deal as ‘something that no club will ever be able to match’ from a financial point of view.

“It would be something that has never been seen before, it’s something incredible. It goes well beyond €100 million per season,” he said.

“It will bring benefits to the brother, to the family and to the player agency that Mbappe’s mother wants to create.”

Real’s offer for Mbappe would be around €30 million per year, which is almost double the top end of their salary structure.

But despite being an incredibly lucrative offer, the figures would make little difference compared to PSG’s proposed deal.

“On the one hand, we have an offer to have it delivered to a player from ancient Rome, ancient Greece and the pyramids of Egypt,” Riolo said of PSG’s offer.

‘On the other hand, we have something that is normal when we talk about Real Madrid, a deal worth €30 million a year and maybe a little more. It is a normal salary for football players.

‘On paper there is a gap (between the two offers) that we have never seen before. What PSG offers Mbappe is incredible.”

The saga over Mbappe’s future has rumbled on for more than two years and Real had reportedly set a January 15 deadline for the 25-year-old to decide, a suggestion the club has since refuted.

“It would be suicide if we now have complete freedom and the end of the season to negotiate with him and reach an agreement,” a Real Madrid source told L’Equipe.

Mbappe has scored 26 goals in 25 games for PSG this season, leading them to the top of Ligue 1 with an eight-point lead over second-placed Nice.
