Paris Saint-Germain ‘ACCEPT £259MILLION bid for Kylian Mbappe’ from Al-Hilal, as PSG chief Nasser Al-Khelaifi ‘allows Saudi side to speak to French superstar’ after he’s left out of club’s pre-season tour

Paris Saint-Germain ‘ACCEPT £259Million offer’ for Kylian Mbappé from Al-Hilal as PSG chief Nasser Al-Khelaifi ‘allows Saudi side to talk to French superstar’ after he is left out of club’s pre-season tour

Paris Saint-Germain have accepted a £259 million bid from Al Hilal for French striker Kylian Mbappé.

Mbappe had been cleared to leave since refusing to sign a contract extension with the club and could now join the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo in the Middle East.

According to reports from heaven sports, the 24-year-old has been allowed to speak with the Saudi club after leaving him out of the squad for their pre-season tour of Japan and South Korea.

News of the offer first broke earlier on Monday and PSG would always accept to prevent Mbappé from leaving the club for free when his contract expires next summer.

If completed, the deal will eclipse Neymar’s £198 million move from Barcelona to PSG as the most expensive transfer in football history.

With the offer on the table, Mbappé is said to earn a whopping £600 million in one year.

It remains to be seen if the striker will be willing to join the Saudi side as he has long been keen on a move to Real Madrid.

Mbappé came desperately close to Madrid in 2022 before making a sensational turnaround and staying at PSG.

However, he has still been linked with the Spanish giants and PSG believe he has already agreed to join them for free in 2024.

The move to Saudi Arabia could be a compromise, with PSG getting a lucrative transfer fee and Mbappé still moving to Madrid in 12 months if they can meet his release clause.

But Mbappé’s future may not lie with Al-Hilal or Real Madrid, as at least five clubs contacted PSG over the weekend to express their interest in the striker, according to Sky Sports.

Three of those clubs are Premier League sides, with Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham all keen on Mbappé.

United are looking for a striker this summer after Cristiano Ronaldo left midway through last season.

They have been linked with Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund as they look to strengthen their front line after signing midfielder Mason Mount and goalkeeper Andre Onana.

Meanwhile, Chelsea only managed 38 goals last season and finished in 12th place.

They’ve since brought in Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson, but it looks like a move for Mbappe will appeal to their owner Todd Boehly, who spends big bucks.

The Spurs could lose Harry Kane this summer as Bayern Munich refuse to give up in their hunt for the England captain, and the north London club could see Mbappe as the ideal replacement.

There is also interest from Europe, with Barcelona and Inter Milan making contact with PSG.

A move to Barcelona would come as a major shock given Mbappé’s admiration for their bitter rival Madrid.

Inter reached the Champions League final last season and the signing of Mbappé would be a major coup as the club looked for reinforcements after Edin Dzeko moved to Fenerbahce and Romelu Lukaku rejected a return to the club.

PSG have received a mix of offers, with the possibility of a player-plus-cash deal being discussed.
