Paris Hilton praised for volunteering at Pasadena Humane Society after losing home in LA fires

Paris Hilton was praised by fans after spending a day giving back to those affected by the LA fires.

The star volunteered at numerous organizations on Sunday, including the Pasadena Humane Society, where she met a cat who was separated from his family during the Altadena fire.

Hilton, who heartbreakingly lost her own Malibu home in the Palisades fire, petted the cat as she stood by its cage in a video as she tried to reunite the cat with its owner.

The animal lover, 43, is also opening her home to a foster dog whose family had to surrender him after losing their own home.

“Hey everyone, I’m here at Pasadena Humane Society and today I’m here with this cat,” Paris began as she stood by the cat.

“He’s been here four days so far and he doesn’t have a collar or a microchip so they don’t know who the owner is, so I wanted to show him so you guys could see so he can go back home.

‘And I’m also going to take in another dog who was surrendered by his family who lost their home in the fire.

“And we’re going to see if there are any other dogs that are still looking for their owners and we just want to tell everyone, and this is such an incredible charity. What they do for animals and they do so much work. So the most important thing is to get donations.’

“I just wanted to come here today to share my platform and raise awareness and really highlight incredible foundations that are doing this work because this is, these are our babies. And we’re going to find your owner.’

‘I love you!’ she said to the cat. “And he came from the Altadena fires,” she added.

She included details about the cat in the video and shared a longer clip of herself doting on the animal.

Paris gained a new fan that day, as the cat clearly loved the affection and even nuzzled her LA Dodgers cap.

“I love you,” she gushed.

Paris also stopped by Baby2Baby, a nonprofit that helps children in poverty, next to a Hilton in Montebello, a city in Los Angeles County.

Hilton said the hotel housed families displaced by the fires and dropped off various items to give to them.

‘Yesterday I had the privilege of volunteering to support the inspiring impact work happening in my hometown of Los Angeles (glittering hearts emoji). The day was such a powerful reminder that by lending a helping hand or donating what you can, we all have the power to help those in need,” she said.

“My first stop was @Baby2Baby, where my team and I helped pack essentials for babies and young children. Then we had the opportunity to visit @PasadenaHumane and were so moved by their lifesaving work to help our animal community. I’m so grateful to be able to bring home Zuzu, our new foster mom (pet and heart emojis) whose family sadly had to surrender her after their home was destroyed by the wildfires.

Fans praised Hilton in the comments sections of her numerous volunteer posts

‘Parenting is such an important way to help if you can. If you can, please consider providing temporary or permanent homes for animals in need (house and paw print emojis). From there, we collected essential items and gifts for the displaced families we hosted at the @Hilton in Montebello. My heart goes out to them and being able to bring comfort and a smile to their faces is something I will never forget (broken heart emoji).

“We are doing everything we can to support displaced families through my nonprofit, 11:11 Media Impact. Thanks to the generosity of so many, we have already raised over $600,000 in three days (emojis) and our goal is to reach $1 million to provide cash assistance, housing and basic needs to those affected.
