Paris Hilton praised for raising staggering amount in 72 hours for LA fires relief after Malibu house destroyed

Paris Hilton shared positive news about her work helping fire victims in LA after the heartbreaking loss of her own home in Malibu.

The 43-year-old hotel heiress posted an update via Instagram on Tuesday about the relief fund she and her nonprofit 11:11 Media Impact have set up to help displaced families and their pets.

“In just 72 hours, we raised $800,000 for the displaced families of the Los Angeles fires. Let’s get to $1 million! Thank you to everyone who has shown your support for our city!’ she wrote.

Hilton also said she has already donated $150,000 to GoFundMe’s Wildfire Relief Fund to provide immediate cash assistance to 150 families in Altadena who have lost their homes.

“Cash assistance provides dignity and choice,” Hilton explains. “Families know best what they need right now, whether it’s clothing, shelter or medicine. Together, we will help families rebuild on their own terms and gain stability during this devastating time.”

In addition to her financial support, Paris also helped the Pasadena Humane Society reunite a cat separated from its family by the Eaton Fire, which destroyed their home.

The cat was found after the fire ripped through Altadena neighborhoods, and Paris visited the shelter to check on the cat and asked her fans to help find the owner.

In addition to her major donation, Hilton revealed that she will “match additional dollars raised up to an additional $100,000” and plans to volunteer personally.

The mother of two wrote, “My heart is with everyone affected by the devastating fires here in LA. Although I have lost my home in Malibu, my thoughts go out to the countless families who have lost so much more: their homes, cherished keepsakes, the communities they loved, and their sense of stability.

“As a mother, I can’t imagine the pain and fear of not having a safe place for your babies, so I’m launching an emergency fund through my nonprofit 11:11 Media Impact to support displaced families with young children.

“I will start with a personal contribution of $100,000, and will match the additional dollars raised up to an additional $100,000. I’m looking for others who would like to donate and match alongside me to do our part!’

More than 130,000 people have been forced to evacuate as wildfires continue to ravage Southern California, killing at least 24 lives so far.

For some A-listers, the devastation has hit far too close to home, as their multimillion-dollar homes were swept away by the flames.

Celebrities such as Anthony Hopkins, John Goodman, Miles Teller, Billy Crystal, Mandy Moore and Jen Atkin are among those who tragically lost their homes in the fires.

Paris’ wildfire relief fund was set up after the loss of her own Malibu estate, which burned down on live TV.

She and her husband, Carter Reum, had lived in the 3,000-square-foot beachfront home for nearly four years before it was destroyed Wednesday by the Palisades fire.

According to Realtor.com, the couple purchased the home in June 2021 for $8.4 million.

Hilton, who has two one-year-old children with Reum, shared her heartbreak on Instagram, calling the loss “heartbreaking beyond words.”

“This house was the place where we made so many cherished memories,” Paris wrote. “It’s where Phoenix took its first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London.”

She continued, “Although the loss is overwhelming, I hold on to the gratitude that my family is safe. My heart and prayers go out to all the families affected by these fires.

“To all the people who have lost their homes, their memories and their beloved pets, my heart aches for those who are still in danger or grieving greater losses.”
