Paris Hilton revealed that she hid the birth of her baby even from her family until just before breaking the news on social media.
The 42-year-old socialite and her husband, businessman Carter Reum, welcomed a son via surrogate in late January.
now she has said harper’s bazaar she and Carter kept their immediate families in the dark until she was about to make the birth announcement on Instagram.

Her decision was especially remarkable considering how close she is to her family, particularly her sister Nicky Hilton Rothschild and mother Kathy Hilton.
However, tension erupted between mother and daughter in November when Kathy blurted out MY! News that IVF had been a ‘struggle’ for Paris.
“I don’t know where he got that from,” Paris shot in a TMZ interview the next day. It has never been a struggle at all.
Paris covered the new March issue of Harper’s Bazaar and gushed in its pages that she “feels so complete now” after becoming a mother.
In the interview, where Hilton posted her new memoir and discussed welcoming a baby with husband Carter Reum, she was more open than ever.
While the surrogate was in labor, Paris was so diligent in protecting her privacy that she even went to the trouble of disguising herself in a brunette wig and checking into the hospital under an alias.
When Paris announced the arrival of her firstborn, all she said was “You are already loved beyond words,” in a photo of the baby’s hand holding Paris’s finger.
She has yet to share her baby’s name, but has said she likes the name London.
