Hello everyone and welcome to the live broadcast of the first official competition day of the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics.

After a spectacular opening ceremony on the River Seine, it’s time to get down to business. Throughout the day, competitors will show off their skills in 24 sports, including badminton The show starts at 8:30am local time.

At 9 o’clock in the morning handball, rowing, shooting And volley-ball join the party, with rider started half an hour later.

The first medals of the Games will be won around 11:30 local time, with the shooters in the 10m air rifle mixed team event not having long to wait.

The gold rush continues and China is expected to continue its dominance in the diving competition, starting with the Women’s 3m Synchronized Jumping.

The final medal event of the day is the women’s individual time trial (cycling), and that starts at 2:30 PM local time.

Other events not to be missed:

  • The Australian Baby Boomers The attack on Spain starts at 11:00 local time (19:00 AEST).

  • At the same time the swimming competitions begin, with the first episode of the Katie Ledecky vs. Ariarne Titmus duel in the pool after the two superstars lined up side by side in the third heat of the 400m freestyle.

  • Antoine Dupont will light up the Stade de France at 3:30pm local time as the French rugby sevens The club continues its campaign with a semi-final against South Africa.

  • But if water polo If that’s more your thing, you can also watch the United States begin their quest for a fourth straight gold medal in the women’s tournament when they take on Greece in Group B.
