Parents shocked by ‘baby mute’ mask designed to ‘silence their crying’: ‘This is disgusting’

  • ‘Baby Mute’ mask is designed to muffle a baby’s cries
  • The product caused a sensation on social media
  • However, a comedian admitted that the product is fake

A product designed to muffle the sound of a baby’s crying has horrified parents.

The ‘Baby Mute’ mask mimics the look of a muzzle covering the baby’s nose and mouth.

The website calls the product a “game-changer,” promising to “keep your baby calm and comfortable” during flights, movies, or car rides.

The website states, “The mask is designed to gently cover your baby’s mouth and nose, reducing the sound of their crying by 87 percent.”

Although the product images are quite confrontational, not all is as it seems. Turns out it doesn’t exist.

Canadian comedian Brad Gosse, known for his “hair-raising” style, pranked the internet with Ai-generated photos of a baby wearing the fake mask.

Earlier this year, Brad shared a photo on Instagram with the caption “Innovation at its best,” which caused quite a stir online.

Many were quick to declare the product “child abuse,” and others questioned its legitimacy.

“I’ll be damned if I muzzle my kids,” one wrote in the comments.

“I’m sure it won’t have any effect on psychological and emotional development,” said another.

“This can’t be legal,” a third wrote.

The post was also shared on Reddit and many started to realize that the product was fake.

One of them said, ‘I looked at their website. They have one, with a decent amount of info. But when you try to order, they are out of stock. It all looks so fake.’

“This is too outrageous to be true and would be stopped immediately,” said another.

Three days later, Brad confessed that he made everything up in a follow-up post on Instagram.

“#BabyMute is taking over. I’ve trolled millions of people with my low-brow #comedy and next time I’ll duck even deeper,” he wrote.

Despite the chaos he had caused, many praised him for pulling such a “genius” prank.

“Breaking the Internet!” one wrote, the other said, “Epic!”
