Parents demanded that a Michigan school board member be fired Tuesday after he tweeted “whiteness is bad” and insisted that white people are more dangerous than wild animals.

Kesha Hamilton has written a series of inflammatory posts on the social media site claiming that whiteness was “synonymous with racism” and urging people to “be safe” with “white people.”

Hamilton, whose ex-husband is white, clashed with parents and teachers at a tense Jackson Public Schools board meeting that required extra security because of protests organized at the school by a far-right group.

One mother insisted that his “racist comments should not be tolerated.”

Hamilton, whose ex-husband is white, has yet to delete the tweets and defended the comments at the board meeting.

Hamilton runs his own consultancy Diversity Minds Consulting LCC aimed at tackling racism.

On December 18, she wrote on Twitter: “Whiteness is so evil she manipulates and then says I won’t apologize for my dishonest and traumatic practices and thinks you should applaud her for being honest about her ability to manipulate and be dishonest.”

In a separate post on December 3, he said: “The last thing you have to worry about is an animal, although that could be a very real threat…more dangerous are the white people you might see on the road… . sure!’

The mother-of-six doubled down on her statements that she has not removed from her public profile.

She told the gathering this week: ‘We have to ask ourselves why we are angry: the fact that it was said or the fact that it is true?’

He added: ‘We must educate ourselves [about] how these racial disparities are affecting us and our neighbors and not let them succeed in silencing us.’

He continues to serve as a board member for the Jackson Public Schools, which represents various schools in Jackson, Michigan.

Hamilton was elected in 2020, though her term expires at the end of 2026.

It’s unclear how much he’s paid for the role.

Dailymail.com has contacted Jackson Public Schools for comment.

A parent said at Tuesday’s meeting that Hamilton was “an angry and bitter judge.”

Mum Gina Hastings added: ‘Someone in your influential position must be held to a high standard. She must be a representative of all students in the JPS system.

A statement in the Diversity Minds Consulting LCC reveals that Hamilton was previously married to a white man, and the experience informs her current views.

‘Your racist comments should not be tolerated. How can all children feel safe when physical characteristics over which they have no control are called bad and dangerous?

After the meeting, Hamilton insisted it had been a success, writing on Facebook: ‘Thank you Jackson! I cannot express enough how much each of you and your presence on Tuesday night meant to me personally.

‘Those in person and those online.’

She added: ‘I felt your support deep in my spirit and what was also very clear was your recognition of the Real Issue. Our students. Our teachers. Our data. The continuation of a racial equity approach. And embracing diverse leadership.’

Hamilton, whose social media profiles also include anti-police statements, runs her own consulting firm Diverse Minds Consulting, LCC, which claims to “fill the gaps in diversity, equity, inclusion, and training messaging and training.” anti-racism”.

She claims in her biography on her website that she was inspired by her experiences of being married to a white man and having mixed-race children.

In 2020, he campaigned to become a Jackson Public Schools board member, which he successfully won.

At the time, she said three of her children were attending the school.

Hamilton was supported by some people at the meeting, with teacher Paris Anderson stating that she was “compassionate and caring”.

Last year, Hamilton was embroiled in a dispute with Superintendent Jeff Beal, whom she accused of harassment and intimidation.

However, an independent investigation found that there was insufficient evidence to substantiate the claims.

Hamilton’s recent posts have sparked widespread outrage, prompting local far-right group Proud Boys to hand out fliers at school reading “Jackson School Board Hates White People.”

The school was forced to move Tuesday’s meeting after Jackson police and firefighters warned of the possible attendance of “outside agitator groups.”

Prior to the meeting, Superintendent Jeff Beal said: ‘I have received the attention of several concerned citizens in the last month who are frustrated with the racial tones or nuances of Administrator Kesha Hamilton’s social media.

The local far-right group Proud Boys has been handing out flyers saying “Jackson school board hates white people” with Hamilton’s tweets pictured.

Hamilton condemned the protest against her by the far-right group Proud Boys on her Facebook page.

“People in Jackson County who want to speak against (Hamilton) or want to speak on his behalf, I’m used to that.

It is relatively calm and stable. But the moment we bring in external agitators,

I am working with the police to try to create a safe entrance and exit for the board and myself. The auditorium just gives us a much better way to control the crowd.’

Hamilton has also backed controversial tweets calling to “abolish the police.”

However, during the meeting many defended Hamilton’s comments.

Myeshia Jones insisted she wasn’t being hateful when she explained: ‘Whiteness is the system, the ideology, the belief, the thought that because your skin is white you are superior to black people.

‘Because your skin is white you deserve better. Since your skin is white, you have better opportunities.’

Meanwhile, Jackson High School teacher Paris Anderson told the meeting: ‘Hamilton is a loving and compassionate father whose actions were not racist or anti-white.

Hamilton campaigned extensively for the 2020 board member seat – his term is due to expire at the end of 2026 – though he now faces calls to resign.

Hamilton serves as a board member for Jackson Public Schools in Michigan, a position he campaigned for in 2020.

“Never in these five years have you questioned me, a white man, a conservative Christian white man, when it comes to teaching your children about their history, a history that is not mine.”

A spokesperson for Diverse Minds Consulting told Dailymail.com: ‘Ms Hamilton’s personal social media accounts are hers.

‘Millisecond. Hamilton has been open and clear about her intentions and we acknowledge the white supremacist system and one of its tenants, whiteness, that she referred to in her tweet.
