Paralympian Blake Cochrane wins ‘life changing’ prize money on game show Tipping Point Australia
Blake Cochrane has won a ‘life-changing’ sum of money for charity on a game show.
The Paralympic athlete was a guest on Tipping Point Australia this week, where he raised $83,000 for the Humpty Dumpty Foundation.
According to their website, the Humpty Dumpty Foundation “helps hospitals and health services care for children by providing essential and often life-saving medical equipment and initiatives that improve health outcomes.”
The continuation: ‘For more than 30 years, the Humpty Dumpty Foundation has helped hospitals and health services care for children by providing much-needed medical equipment and initiatives that improve health outcomes.’
“Children are such fragile creatures,” the athlete said 9Entertainment after his great victory.
“I love them very much and I would do anything to help them,” he added.
The father of two, who has three-year-old son Eli and one-year-old daughter Sophia with his wife Lauren, says it’s an issue close to his heart.
“Now that I’m a father myself and have a Paralympic background, I want to make sure that if anything were to happen, my children are looked after as best as possible,” he explains.

Blake, a retired Australian Paralympic swimmer, won a silver medal at the 2008 Paralympic Games in Beijing.
He then won two gold medals at the 2012 Paralympic Games in London.
The celebrated athlete won a silver medal in the men’s 100m breaststroke at Rio 2016.
His next victory was a bronze medal at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo.
Blake, a retired Australian Paralympic swimmer, won a silver medal at the 2008 Paralympic Games in Beijing. He then took home two gold medals at the 2012 Paralympic Games in London.
The swimmer became the first Australian para-athlete to compete in four Commonwealth Games.
He made his debut at the age of 19 in Delhi in 2010.
Blake is a master of multiple swimming styles, including freestyle, medley and breaststroke.
The successful athlete announced his retirement from swimming in 2022.
