Panthers quarterback Andy Dalton returns to practice facility a day after shock car crash with his family
Carolina quarterback Andy Dalton was back at the Panthers facility Wednesday, just a day after becoming “unlucky” in a car accident.
Daltons wife, their three children and the family dog were also involved in the crash, which was announced by the team on Tuesday.
The quarterback was checked out by Panthers doctors after the incident. But on Wednesday he was spotted training.
Dalton wore his No. 14 jersey but did not practice with his teammates ahead of Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos.
“Thank you to everyone for checking in with our family and for your prayers! We are a little confused, but we are BEYOND grateful for the Lord’s protection of our family yesterday!’ Dalton’s wife Jordan wrote on social media.

The Panthers said his wife, three children and the family dog, who were in the car, are doing well
“Thank you to everyone who responded so quickly to the accident… first responders, friends and strangers… our hearts could not be more grateful for the way you showed up for our family, especially our children.”
Dalton married his wife Jordan in 2011 and the couple have two sons, Nash and Noah, and a daughter, Finley.
The quarterback took over for the Panthers in Week 3, replacing Bryce Young, and has not relinquished the job despite the team’s 1-6 record.
Dalton, who turns 37 next week, joined Carolina last season. He started his NFL career with the Cincinnati Bengals before having spells with the Cowboys, Bears and Saints.
The Panthers have lost six games this season by 10 points or more, including Sunday’s 40-7 loss to the Washington Commanders.
Carolina’s only win this season came in Dalton’s first game as a starter against the Las Vegas Raiders.
