Pamela Salem, best known for her role in the James Bond film Never Say Never Again, has died at the age of 80.
The actress’ death was announced on Wednesday and tributes poured in from those who knew her following her passing. Her cause of death has not been revealed.
Pamela played Miss Moneypenny in the 1983 James Bond film Never Say Never Again, during Sean Connery’s tenure.
She also enjoyed success with her roles in Doctor Who, EastEnders and the US prison series The West Wing.
Big Finish, a British production company that makes science fiction audiobooks and plays, announced Pamela’s death and led the tributes.

They tweeted: “We are heartbroken to confirm the passing of our dear friend and colleague Pamela Salem,” and linked to a longer tribute on their website.
Pamela worked on several projects with Big Finish, namely the officially licensed audio drama Doctor Who spin-off Counter-Measures.
The series continued the stories of several characters from the Remembrance of the Daleks (1988) series, and Pamela portrayed Rachel Jensen, a professor and the scientific advisor who becomes the head of Counter-Measures.
Doctor Who screenwriter Gareth Roberts wrote: ‘Farewell, Pamela Salem. A fine actress. She always seemed so *nice*.”
Comedian and actor Angus Dunican, who had written several Doctor Who specials for Big Finish, wrote: ‘Sleep well Pamela Salem. I always loved how you looked like you were totally having it with everyone today. RIP xXX.”
Old Vic Theater actor Andrew Stocker added: “So sad to hear that sweet, beautiful Pamela Salem has passed away. She was in so many things.
‘The last time I saw Pamela was in 2018 where we had a great chat and shared memories of Chris Harris who Pamela had worked with on HTV’s production of Into The Labyrinth. RIP dear lady.’

Pamela was born in Mumbai and studied at Heidelberg University in Germany before attending the Central School of Speech and Drama.
