Pamela Anderson spoke about life experiences involving WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange as well as Russian President Vladimir Putin in a new interview with Variety.
Anderson, 55, who is promoting her upcoming memoir Love, Pamela, talks about her longstanding ties to Assange, as the duo were romantically linked during a time when she visited him at the Ecuadorian embassy in London.
The Baywatch star said she and Assange engaged in a “playful” exchange at the embassy over the distilled spirit Mezcal.

“It was romantic because it was so inspiring,” Anderson said. “He is so passionate about life and everything.
She said of Assange: ‘There’s just nothing he says that isn’t fascinating. So there was definitely a connection. We just talked all night, drank mezcal, laughed and told stories.’
Anderson described Assange’s imprisonment as “heartbreaking” and “interesting hypocrisy” as “he’s in a maximum security prison in solitary confinement awaiting trial, and all these other people are breaking the law everywhere and no one is in jail”. .’
Anderson said he sent letters to Assange through his legal team.
Anderson has expressed his support for Wikleaks founder Julian Assange.
Assange was photographed in April 2019 in London after he was arrested by Scotland Yard agents after Ecuador withdrew his asylum.

The Ladysmith, Canada-born star also spoke about how Putin “enjoyed her” when she visited the Kremlin to speak on animal rights.
“I would be in the Kremlin, sitting at the table, and everyone would be there,” she said. “And I was going through my papers with my photos of dolphins and my beluga whales getting hypothermia and pleading across the table to these people who actually did things in real time.
Anderson continued: ‘Putin was only in the room once, but he found out everything. He would get messages from other people that he was glad I was there, I really liked it.
Regarding the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, Anderson said, “I don’t know what’s the right thing to say right now, because it’s horrible.”
The Barb Wire actress, who said she voted for President Joe Biden three years ago, said her political philosophy boils down to “just keep supporting human beings.”
