Palworld’s Feybreak expansion introduces a Terraria collaboration
Feybreak adds another huge island – reportedly six times larger than the area introduced last time Sakuraijima update – to the already extensive Palworld playground. The new island features more friends to collect, enemies to challenge in battle, resources to collect, and realistic weapons such as assault rifles, submachine guns, and grenades to craft.
The full one Feybreak patch notes can be found herejust a few highlights include the ability to sit in chairs for the first time and modules for Spheres (Palworld‘s Poké Ball analogs) that add catch-enhancing curves to their throwing trajectories, kind of like Pokémon Go. This seems strange given the legal issues Palworld Developer Pocketpair has already had it with Nintendo, but hey, I’m not a lawyer. Plus, Pokémon games rarely let you sit in chairs, so there’s that.
Palworld players also get the chance to play the Meowmerea special sword from Terraria which fires projectiles and meows with each swing, as demonstrated in the video below. Pocketpair describes the weapon as “just a taste” of the collaboration between the two Palworld And Terrariaso fans of both games can look forward to further content in 2025.
Even though we have a difficult 2024 in terms of litigation, Palworld was nominated for Best Early Access Game on the Golden Joystick prizeswhich was ultimately won by a horror-comedy extraction game Deadly companyand is currently in the running for the Better With Friends category the Steam prices. Pocketpair seems determined to continue expanding its weird little Pokémon clone, and it should be interesting to see how it develops in the new year.
