Paloma Faith admits she feels ‘really alone’ while lying in bed at night after split from husband of six years Leyman Lahcine

Paloma Faith has opened up about her split from ex-husband Liman Lahcine, admitting she feels “really lonely” as she lies in bed at night.

The singer and mother of two, 42, married the French artist, 36, in 2017, and rumors of their split first surfaced in November 2022.

Appearing on Thursday’s episode of Lorraine, Paloma spoke to the host about being single again while raising her daughters, aged six and two.

She said: “As a mum it’s so hard. Now I’m alone with the children it’s so easy, “here’s the screen”, but we have to communicate through play and nurture their imagination.’

“I dread the day when they won’t play with me, it’s going too fast.”

“They have no idea what I do, I’m just a mom.” I was just ignored.’

Paloma’s latest single is called How To Leave A Man and the star has discussed the loneliness that can come after a break-up.

She said: “I’m still going through it. This is the first time I’ve promoted something that I’m still experiencing.

“I’m not doing much about this, I’m just upset and crying.” It doesn’t take much for me to adjust to those feelings.

“When you’re at home, especially at night when the kids are in bed, you feel really alone.”

It comes after Paloma first spoke about the split. According to Sunshe said: “In the last few years, I’ve come closer to failure, despair, grief and loss than I’ve ever come in my life.

“I had a choice: I could disappear into my melancholy or wear it as a badge of honor.”

“It wasn’t an option to stop and break down.” I have two children. I am and always will be a breadwinner – a source of strength and support for many others.

‘And I wasn’t happy, I wasn’t mentally well, and I had to do something about it.’

Looking ahead to dating other people, she added: “I’m never going to be perfect, so if that’s what you want, go find someone else to cheat on.” Be boring.

‘It’s never boring with me. Maybe boring, maybe irritating, maybe stressful. But it’s not boring.’

Ahead of her new single How You Leave A Man, Paloma, who has since moved on with new boyfriend Andrew Soar, also revealed she had to ask Lyman’s permission as the single includes pointed digs at him.

The singer also revealed that one of the tracks on the album, titled Divorce, is “the hardest to hear” for her.

Paloma added that despite her painful breakup, she had to ‘rip off the cast’ to stay strong for her children, as she still has to deal with Lyman on a regular basis.
