Pakistan team director Mohammad Hafeez, who has recently cracked down on players behaving badly, has suffered embarrassment after missing his flight from Melbourne to Sydney for Pakistan's final Test against Australia.
Pakistan and Australia complete their three-match series at the SCG, with experienced opener David Warner playing his final Test.
According to reports, Hafeez was supposed to travel with the team but missed the flight from Melbourne.
Hafeez, who was traveling with his wife, arrived at the airport late and the staff did not let him board the plane.
The former Pakistan star – who has reportedly introduced $500 fines for players who breach the team's code of conduct by arriving late – managed to board another flight to Sydney just hours later.

Meanwhile, Warner will have to wait to take center stage in his farewell Test for Australia after Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first at the SCG.
After announcing his retirement plans in early June, Warner survived nine consecutive selection meetings to hold on to his spot until his dream farewell to Sydney.
The opener will wear a replacement baggy green to start the SCG Test after his regular hat was lost in transit between Sydney and Melbourne.
âI didn't find my caps, as I said in my (Instagram) video, if you have my backpack, I will give you my backpack,â Warner told Fox Cricket before the toss.
“All I want is those bags of greens back, please.”
Australia have retained an unchanged side for the third match of the series, with all three frontline pacers doing well after sealing the Benaud-Qadir Trophy with a 79-run win at the MCG last week.
Pakistan have been dealt a blow by the spiritual leader of their attack, Shaheen Shah Afridi, who was rested after concerns about his fitness following a heavy workload.
