Paige Spiranac linked with Happy Gilmore 2 after Travis Kelce was cast by Adam Sandler for sequel to the 1996 classic
Paige Spiranac has been linked to Happy Gilmore 2 after rumors surfaced that Adam Sandler was gearing up for the sequel to his iconic 1996 film, which was released in late August.
Sandler was a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on August 21 and talked about writing the long-awaited sequel to one of his classics.
With the cast continuing to grow and Travis Kelce already promised a cameo in the film, fans are linking today’s biggest golf influencer to the project.
In March, Sandler’s co-star Christopher McDonald, who played villain Shooter McGavin in the film, revealed that the comedian had begun writing the sequel while appearing in the film 92.3 The Fan.
“I saw Adam about two weeks ago and he said, ‘McDonald, you’re going to love this,'” McDonald said. “He shows me the first draft of Happy Gilmore 2. He showed me that and I thought, ‘Wow, that would be amazing.’ So it’s in the works. Fans, demand it, damn it!”

Since McDonald’s comments, fans have taken to social media to present their dream cast for the sequel. Satirical golf account Tour Golf shared a lineup for X that includes Spiranac as “Public Relations Lady” and Sydney Sweeney as “Cart Girl.”
While the fantasy cast was viewed by over 13 million users, Spiranac shared a photo reenacting one of the film’s iconic scenes. He wrote: ‘I was born with the preparation.
The original film tells the story of Happy Gilmore, a former hockey player turned golf sensation.
When he learned that his grandmother’s house was in danger of being foreclosed on, he joined the PGA Tour and won prize money before his opponent, McGavin, did.
The scene Spiranac reenacted was when Chubbs, Gilmore’s coach, advised him to go to his “happy place.” As he mentally did so, he was greeted by the PR woman, played by Julie Bowen. She was carrying two pitchers of beer, wearing lingerie and sprawled out in a lounge chair.

“This needs to happen,” one user wrote, while another added, “Now I’m in my Happy place.”
No release date has been announced for the film yet as it is still in its early stages.
