Paige Spiranac gets fans excited after the golf pro shares photo of herself captioned ‘date?’

Paige Spiranac fans may have been disappointed after she shared a social media post suggesting she offer them a date.

The golf pro turned influencer – who has taken the sport by storm by posting gorgeous shots on the green in petite, form-fitting skirts and low-cut tops – has amassed some 3.7 million Instagram followers, earning herself the title of ‘ world’s sexiest woman’.

Paige, who recently arrived from Colorado took to Twitter and Instagram to share a photo of herself, captioning it “date @xgolfamerica?”

In the photo, the 30-year-old wears a form-fitting gray ensemble, with a little camisole top with a plunging neckline and matching shorts.

Her blonde locks are styled in loose waves that fall over her shoulders, and her make-up is characteristically glamorous.

Some fans took the message about the virtual golf experience as meaning that they offered to spend time golfing with one of them.

And many of them were eager to take up what they thought her offer was.

One of them replied to her post saying, “A date? Yes please.’

And another wrote, “any date with Paige would be a dream come true. Because that’s the only place it would happen, in my dreams.’

A more optimistic fan added, “Of course. What about this Saturday night?’

And another Twitter user chimed in, saying, “Since you ask, absolutely, I’m going on a date with you… Glad you asked and I’m soooo excited.”

Realizing that the post was not in fact the offer of an actual date, some expressed disappointment, writing, “At first glance I thought you were giving away a free date to one lucky winner.”

While her good looks, in addition to her sporting prowess, have earned her a legion of fans, Paige has previously spoken out about how her meteoric rise to fame in golf has come at a price.

The former professional said in a Q&A on Instagram earlier this year that she would be ‘so down’ to play a match with either Tiger Woods or Tom Brady, but revealed she had to protect herself from the rumor mill.

She claimed that “disgusting sexual” rumors circulated every time she worked with a man, which made her feel as though she couldn’t participate in certain events.

“One thing people don’t talk about as a woman in a male-dominated industry, whether it’s golf or the sports industry, is that every time I’m satisfied with another man there are rumors and comments, and it’s all disgusting sexual stuff. ,” Paige said in the Instagram Q&A via The New York Post.

“And so I feel like it prohibits me from participating or being invited to certain events when there are male athletes and male celebrities because of the rumor mill and all this stuff.

“It’s just so unfair, and every time I’m in the picture with another guy… the comments are just nasty.

“It’s really frustrating because I don’t feel like I can interact with people normally. … I don’t want to start any of those rumors for myself or for them.

“I wish people could be normal and realize that here could just be a husband-and-wife working relationship with nothing else going on.”

Paige doesn’t shy away from her platform being controversial and has regularly taken on social media trolls.

She added that “no matter what I do, people will criticize it,” so she’s tried to shut out the haters as best she can.

“I don’t care what people think about me anymore. Will they take me seriously? No. They never did, and who cares if they do now,” she added.
