Paige Spiranac faces backlash for very NAUGHTY Instagram post, but golf’s glamour girl fails to see what she did wrong: ‘I think it’s quite tame’
Golf glamor girl Paige Spiranac has defended one of her recent social media posts which she says has caused ‘outrage’ among fans as she insists it is one of her tamer photos.
The 30-year-old has taken the sport by storm by posting photos on the golf course in tiny, tight skirts and low-cut tops and has amassed 3.9 million Instagram followers, earning her the title of ‘sexiest woman alive’. .
On Friday, the professional golfer turned influencer posted a photo to Instagram of her wearing a fitted white collar shirt and a skirt that shows off part of her backside.
In the photo she is holding a flagpole in her right hand and smiling.
“Do you want to leave the pin in or pull it out?” she asked in her caption.
Spiranac finds her latest post on social media rather tame and is shocked by the ‘outrage’
Spiranac’s post received more than 125,000 likes from her 3.9 million Instagram followers
The post received more than 125,000 likes, but some thought it was too provocative. Other users came to Spiranac’s defense.
“To all those complaining about this photo, I thought it was a woman’s right to do whatever she wants with her body? Or have I missed something?’ wrote one person.
“Paige is a free spirit and uses all her assets to further her career. An amazing young woman who is talented yet sensitive to comments made about her,” another fan commented.
Sprianac later posted the same photo to X and responded with her own thoughts on the “outrage.”
“It’s amazing the outrage this outfit is causing on Instagram,” she wrote.
‘It’s just a bit sassy or a cleavage as I like to say lol. I think it’s kind of tame and this photo is cute. Thoughts?’
Spiranac has recently defended her choice of clothing when she plays golf, admitting that some of her outfits “really rub people the wrong way.”
She explained why her background influences the way she chooses her outfits in an interview with Sports Illustrated.
Spiranac has become one of the biggest and most influential names in sports without ever playing on the top women’s professional circuit
Spiranac asked why golfers don’t wear sportswear more often, just like she does
“I was a gymnast before I switched to golf,” says the former Cactus Tour member. “I found it so comfortable wearing spandex and very little of it because that’s exactly what you wear when you wear a leotard and compete in a competition.”
‘When I switched to golf we were struggling a bit financially so I didn’t have the luxury of going out and buying a brand new wardrobe suitable for golf. And so I wore what was in my closet, which was workout clothes. That’s how I learned to play the game.’
Spiranac then asked why golfers don’t wear sportswear more often, since they are athletes after all…
She saw Lucas Glover sweating in his outfit at a PGA Tour event and wonders why golfers can’t just wear the comfortable clothes of their choice.
LIV Tour players, on the other hand, can wear shorts during tournaments.
“That was always my mentality when I started playing golf, and it really rubs people the wrong way, which is shocking,” Spiranac said.
“They’ll be having really intense discussions about whether they should wear shorts or pants, or a collar with a collar or a real collar, and I’m just here in tank tops or spandex and people are like, ‘What are you doing?’ “But I love it.”
“But we’re starting to see that change and fashion are a big part of the growth of the game and that it’s going in the right direction.”
Spiranac recently released a 2024 calendar that she is promoting on social media.
She took to Instagram on Monday to share two revealing photos from the calendar.
Sprianac wrote the following caption: ‘The holidays are coming and it’s a perfect time to buy my 2024 (calendar) for yourself or a nice gift for someone else.
‘Perfect gift. Pin me to your wall.”
