Disgraced former NSW Labor Minister Milton Orkopoulos has been rushed to hospital with head, body and leg injuries after being beaten in jail.
“A 65-year-old prisoner has been treated in hospital following an attack on the Metropolitan Special Programs Center in Long Bay,” a spokesman for NSW Corrective Services said.
At approximately 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, correctional officers initiated a medical response after the man was discovered with suspected head injuries. NSW Police were notified.
“Corrective Services NSW takes great care in determining the correct security ratings and placements for inmates to maintain the safety and security of our prisons.”
