Paddy Pimblett is willing to box Jake Paul after being offered $1 million by the polarizing fighter if he can beat him.
But the UFC star isn’t willing to fly to Puerto Rico, as Paul asked in a video Tuesday, as he’s the December 10 co-main event at UFC 282 in Las Vegas.
However, if Paul can come to Las Vegas next week, Pimblett is willing to spare him after his UFC fight.
Paddy Pimblett has a UFC record of 19-3 but can still box Jake Paul for $1 million
‘Naturally [I’m interested]but I am under contract with the UFC and [Jake] said this knowing full well I’m fighting next week, you know what I mean?’ said Pimblett TMZ sports.
‘Come to the PI next week. Come to the [UFC Performance Institute] next week and take $1 million in a bag and I’ll spar with you.’
“I’m at the PI in Vegas on Thursday, I land on Thursday, so even though I’m low on calories and I’m only about 170, he likes to bully smaller people anyway,” he added.
Jake Paul wants Paddy Pimblett to join his United Fighters Association if he beats him
“But if he wants to wait until after my fight, until Monday, because I’m still in Vegas, until Tuesday, but I’m about 185,190 pounds, I’m game!”
While Paul has offered Pimblett $1 million if he beats him, there’s a catch.
Paul wants Pimblett to join his United Fighters Association if he wins, a union he is setting up to work for better pay and healthcare for fighters.
The YouTuber turned fighter made a similar bet with Anderson Silva ahead of their Oct. 30 fight, and the UFC legend has apparently kept his word after losing, according to Paul’s Twitter.
Paul suggested “five three-minute rounds” of boxing to Pimblett, who has a UFC record of 19-3.
Pimblett wouldn’t be the first UFC fighter Paul has fought as he has also fought and defeated Tyron Woodley and Ben Askren.
While some people would argue that Paul hasn’t really been put to the test in the ring, he does own a 6-0 record, and Pimblett actually admitted that he had some skills in the ring.
“I don’t even think he’s a bad boxer,” he said. I think he’s a good boxer now because all he’s done for the last two years is boxing. I think he would beat Tommy Fury. I know he wouldn’t hit me.’
Pimblett will fight Jared Gordon on December 10 in Vegas.
