Paddington In Peru, will begin filming in London – and Peru – in 2023, after the bear took on a part to bid farewell to the Queen during June’s jubilee celebrations.

Michael Bond, author of the Paddington books, sent his bear back to Darkest Peru — in 1964, when he took a trip to celebrate his great-aunt Lucy’s 100th birthday (an event featured in Paddington 2).

On his way home by boat, Paddington dreams that he is being chased by a giant cookie and has to take refuge with the ship’s doctor.

Whatever the story of the film, the South American setting offers the chance to see Paddington – a fish out of water in London – also back home in Peru as a fish out of water.

And there’s an extended family of bear cousins that we all need to get to know.

A StudioCanal spokesperson said it was too early to share official news about Paddington 3.
