Shocking moment bong-wielding driver attacks croc wrangler’s ute

Shocking footage has captured the moment a driver with a hookah attacked a car belonging to popular crocodile fighter Steve Turnbull.

The dramatic road rage incident happened at 3.50pm last Sunday on the Pacific Motorway, in Rochedale South, near Logan, south-east Brisbane.

Dashcam footage from Mr Turnbull’s car, which was later uploaded to social media, captured the moment a silver hatchback stopped at the exit 19 exit.

Mr Turnbull, who was driving behind another vehicle, also entered the slip road and had to stop behind the two cars.

The driver of the hatchback, who was shirtless, got out of the car and walked up to Mr Turnbull’s ute carrying what appeared to be a hookah in one hand.

“You got a fucking bong in your hand, buddy,” Mr. Turbull says in the clip.

The two drivers then got into a heated argument when the driver of the hatchback repeatedly swore at Mr Turnbull before returning to his car and driving away.

At one point, a woman in the man’s car got out of the car and started shouting and making gestures at Mr Turnbull.

Mr Turnbull claimed the motorist swerved in front of his car as he merged from the Gateway Motorway onto the M1 before the dramatic incident (pictured) unfolded.

Mr Turnbull claimed the motorist swerved in front of his car as he merged from the Gateway Motorway onto the M1.

“I honked at him, he didn’t like that and then proceeded to attack my car with his hookah,” he told police. Courier mail.

‘I tried to take the exit to Rochedale but he crossed and then jumped out of the car with the hookah in his hand and came down and started assaulting me and smashed the side mirror of the car.’

Mr Turnbull, who is also a well-known travel and safari guide, was driving back from a visit to the Australian Zoo at the time.

He also claimed the driver spat on him and his son and tried to break the window as he rolled it up.

The dramatic incident did not end there as the footage showed the angry motorist driving onto the wrong side of a one-way road at the intersection.

The hatchback narrowly avoided a collision with another vehicle before the driver merged back onto the right side of the road at the next intersection.

Queensland Police said they are investigating the incident.
