She claims Commuter Cars Auto Repairs has not responded to her complaints about the now wrecked car and now she is worried she won’t get a refund.

“He was telling us the car is fine, the engine is fine, everything is fine,” she said.

Since the incident, 7News reported that the man who sold Ms Yassini the car was “nowhere to be seen” when they visited the dealership.

When contacted, the man claimed that he had sold the car in a private capacity and not through business.

The business sign has been removed from the storefront and the gates remain closed.

The Consumer and Business Affairs Commissioner has launched an investigation into the sale.

The police say that the fire was caused by a mechanical fault.
